Think companies will probably try a few times but I guess at some point they will give up and move onto the next person

am sure the very big prizes like itv and gmtv etc will be by phone, some may be by other but with such a high value Id imagine phone then follow up with letter

it seems to vary from company to company whether they let you know you have won or just send the prize

Thanks for this reply, i have yet to win any comp, let alone an itv one! even though i have been comping since october!
Its quite reassuring that prizes can just turn up one day when you are least accepting it!
Anyway, i just asked if they phone, as i always give my old moby number to comps, and that phone always stays at home! i never give my new number, as I'm afraid of companies/scammers ringing me in awkward situations like while driving, in meetings, in the middle of a queue in the supermarket.

Also companies ringing me on premium rate numbers that kill you credit in afew short seconds!
