BLue tooth MAP profile

Hi, I'm due for an upgrade to my phone (currently Samsung S3 mini) but want to ensure its still compatable with my incar phone and txt'ing (VW Up Maps and More).

I've been searching on the internet and it seems I need a Blue tooth MAP profile for this to work, but the posts on the various forum all seem quite old so I'm not sure if that has changed.

Does anyone know which current phones have a Bluetooth MAP profile?

Please be aware I'm not at all tecky an easily confused by these things.

The Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) is what lets the car read texts to you.

Also, if your car uses the phone for data (for example to give traffic info to a GPS) you will need PAN (Personal Area Network) Profile.

I don't think any popular smart phone will give you trouble with in car phone functions.

If in doubt try Googling <model of the phone you fancy> and "VW in car system".

If that comes up with loads of people saying it doesn't work that is a big clue.

The "Up Maps and More" looks rather better than what is fitted in my Polo !
