Asda is about 5 miles from my house , and I find any trolley awkward on the bus
Stick a sprog in it or a looky like doll in it and you'll be dropped off at your door! LOL0 -
Yes definitely. Ok my post was rather sharp I apologise0

If you want to talk about sneaky, the large trollies are free at my local Asda. The small ones, however, are £1. I wonder how many people just grab the larger ones so they don't have to faff about finding out a coin, and subsequently end up buying more?0

When i used to work at Tesco we used to get lots of complaints about the lack of small trolleys (and trolleys in general)
Althou it had nothing to do with trying to get customers to spend more money. Its that the trolleys kept on going missing, people would steal them and sell them on for scrap. Or sometimes use them to get their shopping home then just dump them somewhere.
The larger trolleys did seem to last abit longer
at one point we had about 100 new trolleys into the store, within 3 months, we only had a handful left, we eventually had to attach security devices to them so you couldn't take them out the store, which angered alot of customers0 -
get a trolley, AND a basket. use trolley to carry basket.
easy!breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0 -
The problem at our Tesco is not that they have a £1 deposit on the trolleys, but that they have left the self-scan holders off about 15%, and this means that you can turn up and find that every row has a trolley at the front with no holder. Then, because of the deposit you have to faff around trying to get one that has. It's surprisingly awkward if you are doing self-scan with no holder, as you tend to need three hands.0

Usually the smaller trolleys at Asda are taken first.
I can easily fit my £60 shop in the small one.
As I am 5’ 2", which is not unusual, I almost have to climb into the big trolleys to reach the items at the bottom.
I sometimes have the people behind me getting agitated as I am holding up the queue.0 -

When the new Asda opened here they made the trolleys with locking wheels if you tried to take them from the area.
When i was on the Cabs the local kids use to help shoppers load their shopping then say 'would you like me to take your trolley back for you' Enough of the women use to say keep it for them to do a good living. A lot more than we earned on the Cabs. One of the kids told me on a good day he made over £100, even a bad day brought him £20 to £30.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
