I think there's a little bit more at stake than the discount. eBay are happy to limit or throttle accounts divvying up your sales with the ever increasing and un-sustainable number of sellers chasing smaller margins, and at the same time turning people into work-aholics by stating "fast service is what the customer wants." The customer wants lots of things. They want cheap price and they want their item now. eBay are happy to give to their sellers with one hand and take with the other, over-all the take by eBay has gone up. But lets cut to the chase. You have to do what's right for your type of product line, your customers and your business, but personally, I see it as eBay will push and push and give you less and less in return. If you are working evenings, weekends and not taking proper holidays, then ask your self why you are doing it.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I do agree, and personally I don't work hard at all. I'm currently on a ferry heading out of Aberdeen to the Northern Isles and this is my 4th holiday so far this year, all paid for by ebay.
For me though I use my holiday settings a lot, whenever I get bogged down, or just feel overwhelmed with sales I put my holiday settings in and stop for a while. That's really why I love having a shop, it gives me a bit more control.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
