All I can see are sims that expire after 30 days. Is that correct ?

I'm after a very occasional PAYG sim where credit rolls over to the next month without the thieves relieving you of your hard earned for doing absolutely nothing.

Help appreciated.

No. I have an ancient one where I just make 1 call every 90 days.

Hardly any expire after 30 days. Usually you only need to make one chargeable call every 3 or 6 months or so to keep it active and keep any credit you have on it. Our Vodafone ones are 6 months, and you can them reactivated up to 9 months if you contact them.

You might be confusing this with pack/bundles you can buy (eg some combination of minutes, texts and data) which usually expire after 30 days. But the SIM and any normal PAYG credit won't usually expire.

    Ah, OK

The blurb isn't particularly clear. I bought a freedom bundle for £10 but it looks like if I don't renew it, and make a chargeable call every few months then it wont expire. Many thanks.

If you bought a bundle without leaving anything left in your account you will need to top up once the bundle runs out in 30 days to make the chargeable calls

No point in buying an expiring bundle for the occasional usage you indicate.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

That's right, for occasional use it would be better to use a prepay SIM from Three or Delight Mobile, both with 3-2-1 rates (3p/m calls, 2p sms, 1p/MB data), cheap enough not to bother with bundles.
    Evolution, not revolution
