Hi
You could remove the HDD yourself, before you do that...
Find a copy of Knoppix,
http://knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/download-en.php?lang=en&link=ftp://ftp.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/
or opensuse
https://software.opensuse.org/132/en Live or Rescue version
and try and 'burn' it to (a DVD or) memory stick.
Then remove your HDD and boot from the memory stick.
Your HDD wont be touched, as it is locked away safely somewhere, and you do online banking etc, knowing that that when the system is powered down all traces fade away.
Best choice is is a WORM. Write Once Read Manytimes like a dvd that cannot have any changes made once it is finalised.
So is there anything else you would expansion on?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
