My son had his contract iPhone stolen. Vodafone shop staff advised me to contact call centre to negotiate better payment plan. After 3 phone calls and 90 minutes a mutually acceptable price was agreed and I was told that the phone would be delivered following day. Took the day off work to sign for the package but the phone didn't arrive, much to the disappointment of my very excited son. Called DPD - they blamed Vodafone. Called Vodafone - they blamed DPD. Called DPD on 6 June to see if we could collect phone from their depot. Told phone was there but hadn't been processed. Called DPD on Monday to get one hour delivery slot - told that the package was lost and I needed to contact Vodafone. Contacted Vodafone and was told that an investigation needed to be raised with DPD. 3 phone calls and 247 call minutes later (most of which were spent on hold) told I could go into nearest branch and pick up a handset. Drove to shop and 1 hour later (whilst staff contacted customer service) was told handset could not be issued as they couldn't override the price plane on their system. Was offered £30 compensation. Contacted Vodafone today, 10 June, and told they had just put a block on the phone (why was that not done instantly) and to leave it 48hrs then go into nearest store and pick up a handset. When I explained to them that this couldn't be done I was told to 'wait until Monday then ring back and we will see what we can do'. A total of 526 minutes spent on phone calls so far to Vodafone and DPD.
Since been told I have to wait 5 days whilst Vodafone carry out an investigation with DPD and just opened my post to find an invoice from Vodafone for the postage of the missing phone!

So you've discovered the ever increasing circles employed by Vodafone. Don't expect them to stabilise or contract. Contact the Web Relations Team as repeatedly instrcuted throughout the Vodafone Complaints thread or give up while you're still reasonably sane.0
