EE Upgrades - retain discount
Options
Hi
4 years ago, via this site, I switched to T-Mobile paying £10 all in for a handset, 500 mins / text / unl data.
2 Years ago, I got an upgrade to a new phone, but, the same plan (Now works out about £12.50 net)
Looking deeper, it is actually an £18 contract + VAT takes it to £22.50 - but, I still have my "recurring" £10 discount on my EE account (Not the price plan)
Question is, as I am now due for an upgrade, would my "account" still maintain this discount in an upgrade? (Thus I could look at a £22 / £23 pcm contract, but, still only pay £12 ish a month.
Clear as mud? - Thanks in advance!

Most probably not as they will see what is available to you when you call to enquire about it. If they offer you a deal, then they usually remove all existing discounts to make way for any new ones.
Obviously, there is the chance they might not notice and it will stay on but I wouldn't count on that!0 -
£18 plus VAT is £21.60 so your sums are wrong anyway.0

£18.85 to be exact! I thought this site was about saving £££ - Not pennies?0 -
I called Orange today about an upgrade. They don't allow them on Orange any more, they move you to EE. The guy said the discounts would change (ie get lower or vanish depending on what they were for). So the first thing to do would be find out if you'd be staying on T or be moved to EE...0

Been told the same as you in that all T / Org are getting phased out ASAP in favour of EE! - If that means shopping around, then so be it!0 -

Maybe you can't do basic maths. That would make it £22.62. Perhaps details aren't important to you, but a monthly difference of £1.02 over 24 months months is more than pennies. In any case, something can be a few pence out but sometimes indicate that other things are happening.0 -
Merely trying to round for simplicity!
£18.85+ vat = £22.62 - my £10 discount = basic Net bill of £12.62
Back to the original point: How can I maintain that discount if upgrading? Either with Tmob/EE or a 3rd party retailer?0
