Hi
I am looking to hire a car on my summer holiday, is there away to hire the car in advance so it is dropped off and collected at the hotel, every car hire company just allows me to collect and drop of at the airport. I only want the car for a couple of days, so picking and dropping off at airport defeats its purpose.

Local independent car hire firms will sometimes do this. Tripadvisor hotel reviews and forum postings can be good with clues to who the good ones are.
The big firms Avis, Hertz etc also have a lot of non-airport locations, worth using google maps to find the nearest to the hotel. Then put the specific location in a car hire comparison website for prices.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
