as the title says really.
i have a really good quality digital camera already but its a little too large for day to day snapshots.
i am looking for a quality, small(pocket size?)camera for as little cash as possible.
anyone have any suggestions? please post here so i can check them out.

dont get one without a viewfinder-having said that youll be hardpressed to get one with a viewfinder these days WHY? because in bright sun you cant see the screen!0

Well you ain't going to get a good quality digital camera for £50, the best you can hope for is a mediocre one.
The Casio in post above is a good choice.
Also type in Fujifilm F20 in Argos search, it will come up at £89.99, another good choice.0 -

Samsung make OK LCD TV's, shame the same cannot be said for their camera's.0 -
I've used Samsung cameras for a few years now. The quality is generally very good for the price.
For a fun camera with the ability to shoot extended video footage(67 minutes with 640 x 480 pixels resolution at 30fps, per GB), I would suggest taking a look at this Samsung; http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000L3IF9E/ for £90 with a leather case.
