Do your chickens do that look of disgust & beak-wiping on the ground after eating a slug?
Yes, but they don't usually do it again.
If the slug is really small they'll maybe have it. I threw one to a Vorwerk yesterday and she ate it without so much as a beak-wipe, but it was a real tiddler.
A bucket full of water does the trick if my throwing arm's tired.
with a dash of washing up liquid in the water or a salt bath

And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better

As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted
Got eight of the blighters just now - three biggies and five littlies. Put them in the bucket with a sprinkling of snail pellets and watched the big one eat a pellet each. Then emptied the bucket in the field.
