Apple Pay and Section 75?

The limit needs to be increased for contact less payments to make it really useful, I think the limit is increasing to £30 for all contact less payments later in the year anyway, but even so if you can shop in some of the more expensive stores with Apple Pay you will need to be able to authorise more than £20/30 or you will be very limited to what you can buy. I would have thought a lot of people will spend £20+ on fuel, so at BP if you went over by a penny (it happens too easily!) you can't use it.
As for security it's a lot more secure than a contact less card, if I lose my wallet my cards are very vulnerable, if I had the cards stored in Apple Pay and lost my phone they would need my thumb too.
Online payments will surely be fine for over £20 considering there are airlines and hotel chains signing up, bit pointless otherwise. Will make online shopping so much easier, I'm more interested in that than I am contact less in store really, most of my purchases are online now.0 -

Security isn't an issue with contactless cards are the issuer is liable for any contactless payments. Other than that you're relying on chip and pin.
As the for iphone thumb verification, that was cracked a long long time ago.0 -

Not 'cracked' but there is a very complicated way of getting a fingerprint off a screen, making it into a fake skin sample then using it. I've not heard of it being a real world issue with a phone being stolen and used in this way, be good to see some examples though.0 -

+ with regards to Apple Pay its a non issue. It takes several hours/days to do it by which time you would have either gone online and got the cards removed from the device or called your bank.0
