hi. is there any agency that sells off holidays that are due to depart 6 hours or a bit more before take off time.
I am only an hour from the airport so could go at a few hours notice.

They don't make money at this, so there's no point selling in this way.

if they had booked the flights and hotel and they went unsold, I thought they would be willing to minimise their losses by last minute disposals.

Thomas cook are including free transfers in their packages at the moment starting from £135pp but tomorrow onwards not sure if you can get the same day. On a charter package holiday they want to fill the places because of the after sales involved insurance, airport parking, airport lounge, currency, meals and drinks on the plane, self catering properties where you will spend money when your there. Can't remember the exact figure for each empty seat on one of our planes but it was in the hundreds.

Thanks Steph. my question was only a feeler. I am looking at going later in the year.
I have had a niggling feeling for years that there were cheaper deals out there.
I always go all inclusive with breakfast time flights during the school holidays, but now I am able to go whenever, as well as the school holidays though, my grandson would never forgive me!
Thomas cook certainly seem cheaper than first choice out of season.

I do work for TC, i'm one of the good guys (girls), we're not all !!!!!! Turpin. If you want to go later in the year first week in October is a good time to go, before I worked for TC and before school holidays were a necessity I used to get some real cracking deals about the 6th October for the Balearics. If you need any advice nearer the time just ask

when I asked did you work for T/C I knew I could check on your profile for clues but I was scared of leaving this page in case I lost what I had typed with my one finger.
I looked after I posted and saw that you were advising members when the new brochures were out. some ungrateful replies were received too!
I will certainly be back in touch early October time.

Keep a look on the Holiday Pirates website. They offer very cheap package deals. Not with hours notice, but often 2 or 3 days if that's any use?

thanks lottie. I am on their mailing list and they have some cracking deals, though not many flying from Manchester, though I did see a bargain the other day.
