Winning bidder with no address listed with ebay

Haven't come across this before and can't find the answer on ebay.

For address details on the sales record the buyer has "please ask for address" and then a fake postcode listed.

How should I deal with this?

Does the paypal payment say 'ok to send' ?

If so phone paypal and ask them what you should do.

They haven't paid yet - but will look out for that.

In that case don't worry yet, the ebay address is completely immaterial and should be ignored.

So when I get a tick saying they've paid by Paypal how do I link to the address they have registered with Paypal?

You don't need to link it. The Paypal transaction will have the address in and the eBay one should update.

There is no reason to worry until payment is made. If it is still the same then, you will have to call, but in my experience the address will come through perfectly fine.

I've never checked the PayPal address in over 50000 eBay transactions and have never had a problem.

When you go to 'view order details' from the dropdown menu in your sold items this is the paypal address. The address you are given on the confirmation email when an item is sold is very often wrong so ignore this.

I think you may have been lucky- or have forgiving buyers.

I often choose a different address when I pay , on rare occasions I have still had it delivered to my house when it ought to have been with my mother or one of my sons, I've never left poor feedback though although once or twice I did email the seller telling them what had happened. One seller even offered me a fullr efund for my inconvenience, which I declined as I thought it was a bit OTT .
