Are Vodafone back office staff stupid?

Hello all,
Firstly sorry for my headline but I've lost it with this incompetent company!
As some of you are aware the saga I've had with Vodafone regarding activating my sim card, five weeks without mobile data, being disconnect due to sheer stupidity....
I like many took out the 12 month sim only plan which as part of the contract has the data test drive, unlimited data for the first three months.
Today I receive my bill for month two, which should be zero as I was informed I'd receive a credit due to no data for five weeks.
£184 bill comes in!!!! I'm struggling to understand the definition of unlimited data for three months......
When I first spoke to a half trained monkey at customer service when I received sms saying I'd be charged for exceeding my allowance he said this was just a computer reaction and not to bother with it.
I'm fuming!

Some no doubt are, but its the culture of the organsation - "organised" meaning they are there to fob you off, tell you anything and promise call-backs (if forced) which never materialise. Read the Vodafone complaints thread to see what you can do wo resolve a problem. The last page usually suffices at any give time for how to contact the Web Relations Team.0

Yes. Incredibly, and deliberately.
I spent 5 months sorting it out.0 -
Yes they have no clue what they doing!0

Oh, that's doing them a complete injustice. They know exactly what they're doing.0

I finally got threw to an individual who could speak English, the lass informed me some other tube hadn't activated the unlimited data on my account, hence the bill.
However this would be cancelled, sounds just like my contract in 9 months time!
Clearly the Indian chap told me a pack of lies as the lass I spoke with today confirmed nothing had been done since I was last on the telephone. It would appear Vodafone exploits foreign workers with low wages and a scrip to read but fail to follow through with any promises.
I told them to cancel the direct debit plus asked my bank to cancel it as well.0 -
What makes you think the non-Indian female will be any more trustworthy? You have a LOT to learn...0

The fact that I've actually had some results, not just fobbed off.0

With Voda getting this bad, I wonder if they'll have any customers left in the next few years!!0

What is that exactly? A VODAFONE person telling you what you want to hear?0
