I had an install from Project Solar and financed it over ten years as the so-called saving was supposed to outweigh the financing costs. Sadly this was not the case. Furthermore the system only lasted a year before stopping altogether. To make matter worse, the technician laughed down the phone when I asked for help and was patronising and abusive. I opened a complaint and the response was that the technician had done nothing wrong and they apparently recorded the call.
The system is still in fault and does not produce any energy, nor have they offered any resolution, so I am taking this up with the finance company with a view for them to step in.
From personal experience, I would never recommend Project Solar to anyone - the whole experience had been a total nightmare.0 -
That really sucks.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0

2 Weeks ago, I had a quote from Project Solar. 4kw (12 panels) battery storage etc. They quoted £14000  I hadnt done my research and initially signed up. After getting an unexpected bill then doing some research, I realised that this quote was a mickey take. I phoned up to cancel, and was told that someone else had recently cancelled a similar installation to mine and as the company had already got the equipment they could install it at my house for £9000. I obviously declined.
This sounds like the old style sales tactics from the double glazing industry. Its not a good look for a company that touts itself as being one of the biggest and best in the UK.
Can anyone suggest a company that can do a Solar+battery quote that have been reasonable in price and offered great service?

Please check your returns figures that they gave you as our were over inflated by over 300%..... We cancelled straight away and had the panels removed...0
