I think they look fun, for a very short while, I like space. You'd have to be on very good terms with whoever you were living with! The design of them, and others I have seen make wonderful use of the space they do have. The point about them being more suitable for countries with better weather so you can use the outdoors more is very valid, as is the worries about that high level bed!
My thoughts had been, what fun to have one in the garden for the elder off spring's visit, then thought about how much the elder off spring is paying in rent and how far off raising a decent deposit for a mortgage is looking for said off spring ... Mamma thought to herself, I wonder if we could find somewhere to put one of these for a couple of years near to where eldest is putting down roots.

I certainly wouldn't want to live in one permanently but it kinda appeals to me for going on a road trip type holiday as an alternative to staying in B&Bs. You'd definitely need to stay in one first as a trial to see if it was for you or not.0
