Hopefully they will get the money back if they cancel. If they won't then the holiday company may let them transfer the booking to a different holiday or to take the holiday later in the year.
If the Foreign Office advise against travel, then the holiday company will be forced to allow cancellation. Problem comes if the FO just say to be cautious and don't advise against travelling, then it is down to your insurer or just deciding to whether you want to go or not.
We have been in that difficult situation before and you really have to distance yourself from the finances and decide if you want to be there. Even if you lose money, there is no point going somewhere just to end up sitting petrified to move in your hotel room for a week.
Yes, there are times when being MSE just does't come into it.
So sad there are people who just want to hurt others. Life often throws us a curved ball but its so much harder when that ball was thrown deliberately.
So glad that man who saved his fiancee is still alive - what a man to have by your side and how proud his children will be of him. :T:T0 -

He was in Chingola, obviously in the Copperbelt Province, it would have been about 1976/7 to about 1979. He was maintaining the telephone system one of the copper mines. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
