    :hello:
There have been some price changes today in M. My first impression was that they were largely prices being increased:( and, of the price decreases, items that went up last week just going back down to the same offer price as they were before. However, I did get excited at some of the prices when I reached the freezer aisles and, maybe it's not correct to say it's mainly price increases as there are some good RTC prices on some kitchen utensils that have only been factored in after being discovered at my second store - first one was no clue at all! Anyway...

Must crack on as can't be working through the night. [EDIT: I said this and then...sorry for this very long post... wasn't going to write about several of the offers here but then ending up doing so in any event!:rotfl:] The Single Cream 150ml and Double Cream 150ml at 32p each were, indeed, too good a price as they have gone up today. So, they are now an urgent one for an APG attempt - that's if they ever manage to pick up the M products anyway. So, get your strawberries and cream tonight! Or - no need to buy any strawberries, possibly, as price is unchanged on those in M.

It looks like the Old El Paso offer is due to end tomorrow (very unusual for offers to be on until Tuesday) in M - so, if it's picked up, might work on APG until early Thursday. But, I said a similar thing about the Pampers offer only for M to continue it for about another week. I think others have found better prices on OEPs elsewhere - I think we started at Sains £2:eek:, found M £1.59, then maybe sub-£1 prices were found if you avoid the supermarkets entirely!!

I will highlight now that **there have been some good prices on gardening items** in M - may vary from store to store so if you need anything and are already there in any event then maybe go and have a look at what you can find! I know that, often, I don't shout about things, so people miss them:( and they just slip, largely untouched, onto the list. They are still on this week although some of the items may have gone from some stores by now. I'm looking mainly at 48p and below, although, if some are still there in your store (beyond what they were in many stores) then maybe they have gone even cheaper. The stationery offers are still on and, so the kitchen utensils - I only went into that aisle in the second store because I found my first store to be unclear on the Slotted Spoon, about whether its price was still 48p or whether it had gone back up to original £1 price... Which, of course, means it is...

28p in the second store!! (:( as 48p was too dear.) And, just because I happened to need to check that, I then found a number of other items (besides the Savers Potato Peeler at 38p that was showing that in the first store) have now gone to 48p (maybe that's too dear:rotfl:) - I'll add them to the list.

I've done my best on the price collection, though I have a small number of items outstanding but not enough to go to my main store for. [Strike]I don't know what the KTC Tamarind price now is [/Strike] [EDIT 2: 12.18am: Crossed out now as T has been (and possibly gone from being) cheaper.] as it's not stocked in either of the two stores I've checked - it'll be on m.com and msm (which, I think, is still the starting point for non-M stores despite the PG now not using it - I think we still need to start at a comparison site (i.e. msm) in order to work out if anything is good value or not or sort in PPU order etc. and then go and check on the individual competitor's site) - however I do not know if the price has changed today and that it might not yet have changed online but only be about to do tomorrow or some time.

I don't know if the Birds Eye 2 pack Crispy Chicken is or isn't included in the 84p:D offer ones. [EDIT 3: 12.18am: I assume it is not in the offer, as showing full price for M on msm.] Although the SELs said "Birds Eye Original Chicken Grills 2s", I could only find the Chicken Chargrill version on the shelves there, which does say "Original" on its packaging - in the second store, the Sticky BBQ Chicken, which is quite clearly on the offer, and the Chicken Chargrill version were in the 'offer freezer', no Crispy Chickens in there but wasn't clear enough for me as all of them, in the main freezer aisles, had full price showing but an offer label was on the shelving - but did not cover along the whole of the items on offer so was unclear whether it extended to the Crispy Chicken or not - the offer label said "Original" on it (which I always thought was the plain Crispy Chicken) but pictured the Chicken Chargrills, which say "Original" on the packaging - although it also did not picture the Sticky BBQ version either yet that is on the offer.

They really need to be more clear (for me) - though I think I went too early anyway, as several offers still to be put on in the first store and several old SELs, whose offers had expired, still up - I thought I left it late enough:huh: - anyway not liking it too much as the main store I use is now in an area of roadworks - I got caught up in a traffic jam on the other end of the town:(, that was not supposed to happen, so I went too early (or too late). In the second store, a couple of items with no pricing at all, so that must mean they are 48p:rotfl:. I've made my assumptions and guesses therefore (very good guesses:D, I hope:o:rotfl:) and also, no sooner did I find it was good, it now seems the M Dog Poop Bags (75 rather than Bob Martin's 60) at £1 may no longer be available anymore:(. (I had trouble finding them last week, no stock in my first store or my other main store and today, no stock in the first store once again, and not in the further store I used today either. So, over the course of a week, that's three different stores - no stock or SEL.)

Anyway, I'll just cross things from and add things to the list. I thought the Frosted Shreddies and Bitesize Shredded Wheat (500g) at £1.24 could be good if factoring in the cost of a pint of milk (must have the "Win a Cow" promotional flash), which is... a voucher of value of 49p as that's the cost of 1 pint milks everywhere but is only really 21.5p off (maybe only 19.35p off if would have bought 6 pint milk on an M comp. and had 10% off £1.29 price - as, to me, the price of a pint of milk is the price of a 6 pint big carton divided by 6 and not the inflated price on single pints, so treat that voucher as worth somewhat less than a 49p discount).

However, £1.24 M offer price on the cereals works out at £1.86:eek: for 750g, and T and W have the 750g Bitesize Shredded Wheat on only £1.59 at present, so would be much better buying those Avs T or W. The 500g Bitesize Shredded Wheat packs would need to be £1.06 or lower to match or beat the 750g T/W price. Shreddies 750g are on offer at £1.50 in Iceland (which is cheaper than 10% cheaper than A's cheapest competitor (W)), however I think that's why I bought my Malted Wheats vs A's 97p price - clearly, even if the 1 pint milk were treated as worth 49p, it would still cost slightly more to have £1.50 Iceland price minus 49p than 97p Malted Wheats which I am nowadays treating as the "same" as Nestle Shreddies. Frosted Shreddies are £1.24 in M and are not £1.59 for 750g in T, but I see no need to buy them:rotfl:. Of course none of this is factoring in cost of travelling to different stores, which may need to be factored in and will vary for some people - e.g. if, not in Northern Ireland, you have an A near you and no Iceland it would make more sense to Avs W on the Shreddies than to spend more on fuel travelling out to an Iceland only to 'save' about 2p on the cost. Really I need a glitch on cereals.

There are a couple of further frozen Quorn products (and a couple of LMs) now on offer in M - I carefully noticed that the Quorn Chicken-Style Fillets (312g) were not on offer and that it was only the Quorn Chicken Nuggets (300g) and thought why bother with those as, for those of us who are not vegetarian, some Chicken Nuggets may be cheaper. Then I got to the second store... only to find that the Quorn Fillets were now on 99p after all:mad: and the first store hadn't got the offer showing yet!:rotfl:

I don't think any of this will work yet on the APG (if it ever does) as it needs the system to update (although not sure if the new system updates quicker than the old?).

Speaking of cereals (earlier), I'm not sure, personally, about the Sains "Basics" Corn Flakes. The A SP ones are clearly different from Kellogg's, but I like them because of their difference (although I like Kellogg's too though see no need for expensive Kellogg's:rotfl:). The S Basics ones though, it seems to me, they have tried too much to be like Kellogg's and yet woefully failed so that they are no good at either and aren't even better for being completely different. Instead, I opened my pack today and found unevenly toasted flakes. I'll eat them, and they'll do as a cereal but I prefer A S/P.

Meanwhile I need some fruit but no luck from the Gods yet on any cheaper prices - seems everywhere currently has gone dear on apples and waiting for offers to change in Lidl after Aldi disappointed last Thursday - and their offers now on for a further week - personally can't wait to see them end! Still no luck on the Kipling 2 pack sponge puddings - not gone back to £1 or, even, lower than that - still stuck, for weeks and weeks now, on 2 for £3 in M. Looks like that's become their everyday offer on those:(.
