I too am getting fatter and fatter. I'm great during the day, right up to about 9pm.....then bf makes a cup of tea and I give in. I even started buying only the things that bf likes and I could 'apparently' take or leave. Well apparently I can't!!
I do a reasonable amount of exercise....go to the gym 4 times a week, walk a bit but just don't lose weight.
I know I need to completely change the way I eat.....more healthy fats, more protein less sugar. I simply don't have the will, power!!!:mad:
Leo, like you, I exercise a reasonable amount each week, but was not losing weight (wanted to lose a stone).....until I got two fabulous apps on my phone. I use Map my walk, and My fitness pal.
Map my walk, maps all different types of exercise...walking, cycling, treadmill etc.....so I set this when I start my workout and then when I finish, it shows calories burned, length of exercise etc, and you also get a weekly report. If you sync this app with My fitness pal, the calories burned are automatically put into this app.....so the more you exercise, the more you can eat.
My fitness pal is brilliant....you log all the food you eat, and drinks and it calculates what calories you have consumed and what you have left. You have your weekly weigh in and put that into the app. It also shows proteins, sugars etc and lets you see if you are eating too much of anything in particular. The app has made me very conscious of what food I am putting into my mouth :)
I still have treats every day...but have to save calories in order to do so.
Have a look....can highly recommend.....both apps are free.

Same here. I was buying croissants, saus rolls and danish pastries on woopsies as I do not normally eat them. However tell my hands & mouth that. Even though I know they will give me indigestion during the night, by the time I get home (30 min drive) I have eaten at least 2. Why do I not lock them in the boot? Because I am greedy & usually hungry & ready for tea. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I need some of the will power the other dieters on here have.

I'm to bed too and it looks like I've stopped the serial looker at people's profiles from operating so that's something!
haha and how do you know that, you must be stalking the stalker and looking at what they are doing. :rotfl:

1st thing i done after i seen your post is to look at a couple of profiles to see what peeps are looking at. but i cant see anything extra to what ive always seen. so you posting what you did, caused a few more stalkers like me. :p:p
so how many peeps looked at someones profile after your post
see what you done now :D

It's no good I can't sleep because I think this is aimed at me.

I use the user profile options a lot and I mean a lot for several different reasons.

Firstly if I am having a conversation with a friend by PM I will happily sit there refreshing their profile to see if they got the message, and whether they are about to reply so people I chat to a lot this would mount up considerably and yes double figures easily. Before I knew this function existed sometimes I would think maybe someone was going to reply but in fact they had logged off. Also sometimes I will check if someone has logged on if I sent a PM previously is that stalking......

Secondly I use it as a search tool, as most of you know my memory is shot at times and often if I am searching for something using keywords it does not show up in fact I gave up that way long ago but if I remember who posted then I go to their user profile and search their posts and find them that way and sometimes I look back this way to reply to a post.

Thirdly I will admit the last couple of days I have been nosey and looked at people's profiles that maybe I don't usually as when things started to move backwards big time with posts being deleted I was curious. I think I was just being human but maybe not.

Fourthly if I am on my mobile I often hit usernames without realising as I don't have my glasses on.

And lastly if someone I have thought of as a friend here has been missing yes I do check to see if they have logged in because I am missing them and I actually care. If that is stalking then apologies to all those I have offended.

I think maybe my time with the Elite has come to an end because no one thought to approach me about it and I think I have always been open with you all.

I look at profiles sometimes, and I am newly returned to the fold, perhaps it is me? I have looked to find if people are in my neck of the woods, or alternatively if I am looking for one of their posts. I am not in the slightest way interested in what they are doing on the forum and never look tbh. So I think Tinyshoes we probably all do it with no nasty intentions. Please don't leave the thread, I very much doubt it you you that FC was talking about she has known you on this thread far too long.......x

    Before you judge, understand why,

Ok, I am on my tab so do not post much this weekend.

I think I have an idea as to how to stop this dissent. Will someone please just start anew thread!

As for me, this is the worst timing for a weekend away ever, and if it had not been business I would have cancelled.

My freezer has decided to break down  It was late on Friday so I called John Lewis when we were travelling and there is an engineer coming out in Tuesday, so I shall have to do a damage assessment tomorrow when we get home. I foresee a day of cooking etc, so long as the stuff is still cold (this freezer was meant to be OK for 81 hours without power).

So, will everyone please calm down, stop sniping and start smiling.

On, and TS, please do not go.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

COT, can I ask what you think of your Amazon Fire stick please ? I'm tossing up whether to get one of those or the chromecast. It's only for glamping, we take a portable TV with us. We get wifi on the site and our pitch also has a TV point. Or wondering whether to just watch from the iPad via TV catchup. TIA.

one of my fave HP films :)

I recently added Amazon Fire TV stick to my gadgets and have to say I am mightily impressed. It has required a few tweaks (as I am not an Amazon Prime member but am using it to access Kodi - instructions readily available on the Internet). I have catch up through the TV, TiVo and NowTV box already, plus on my phone, computer and tablets. However, I am thinking it will be useful for streaming content from my phone or tablets to the screen (so an added way of viewing on the big screen) ... plus the more obvious added access to streaming various content off the internet.

Travelling anywhere with free internet and limited TV options will also mean we have options for keeping the kids entertained by taking the content with us :)

Just to add, I went for Amazon Fire TV Stick rather than a Chromecast simply due to the reviews that said it is a higher spec/faster for a similar price (I bought when it was on offer for £25) - both do pretty much the same thing.
