The car temperature said 12 degrees today :o

I've been in a local community centre all afternoon. No heating and for some obscure reason I thought it might be safe to wear sandals in the middle of June.

I am now on the settee with a throw and a hot water bottle. Just can't get warm.

Back me up the NE Coven.........hasn't it been freezing:o

 it's been 22 in the house here today. Forget me moving to Durham, you need to move to Watford :D

No glitch, just needed to spend a large apg and get apg back, but keep it simple as dd was going to spend it and her bf needed deodorant.

  • Hi,
am watching qt, which always reminds me of FC.
salwag is on rug, dreamingof chasing rabbits, bless!
I think we have same recycling as M2m....so in that case, I have been recycling my plastic stuff wrong and may have corrupted South yorkshires plastic recycling:Di just put all plastic in my brown bin and glass jars , stil full of their contents:eek: its like musical bins every wek at ours,4 bins and a stupid sack for paper.
I get used to putting stuff in each bin, then the bins get moved round every 2 weeks, then I have to remember which is which.i once had to get a lottery ticket out of one of the wheelie bins.they are deep and im only short, so I nearly fell in and couldnt get out:rotfl:it was scary, I tell you:eek:
I used to use a pegbag but now I leave the pegs on the line as they dont seem to get dirty, maybe cos of being rural, closed in garden.
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

    LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A

Just wondering what package you are doing at center parcs? I was actually looking at the Woburn one, as a friend recommended it to me and I'm not too far away. Would quite like to go for my birthday next month, but not sure I'm going to fit it in between holiday and surgery.

What lovely news, congrats to your friend. :T

Bless you, you must be very stressed. I'm sure the house will be fine when you leave it, I really wouldn't worry too much about it. Definitely want to come and see your new house, might be a while though unless bubbs can come and pick me up (:D), as won't be driving for at least 6 weeks after my surgery. :(

Ladyshopper it is a lovey Spa. Lots of different rooms. Mum likes the reflexology foot spas best. Beautiful place when sun is shining.

We have gone for the Biotec facial day. I like the tri enzyme Elmis facial and with this package facial works out half price.
Lots of packages, last year we did a £69 day and had extra treatments.
You get a light breakfast and good lunch plus bubbly with both and afternoon pot of tea. If you want to spend on extras in cafe you have to register a card on arrival. Long walk back if you forget.

Had a good drive and got to hotel around 8 pm.

I have been skimming today but remember reading someone was looking for hotel in Birmingham with swimming pool? I spent a weekend every July for over 10 years staying in the city centre for trampolining competitions and stayed different ones and things changed over those years.

Not sure if they were thinking city centre as 2 hotels that used to have pools no longer do, Crowne Plaza being one, Novotel being other. Novotel still has fitness, sauna and steam room if looking for bit of leisure facility. And you can sometimes pick up a bargain stay there, not sure if you can still exchange CC vouchers for rewards.

I would thoroughly recommend either of the Premier Inns along the canal, cheaper than most hotels and used to be free parking. But last time I stayed was 2011 so that may have changed to. But it is certainly a consideration when making a booking anywhere. EDIT: just checked and seems like parking chargeable now says ring for charges might still be cheaper than some of the others. £35 rooms still available for July.

Hope my waffle has been some help sorry I forgot who asked. :o
