dont get me started on what you can feed chickens makes me :mad: I can pick fruit or veg and throw to hens but take it in the house, to cut it and give it to them and I am braking the law. the free range hens eat all sorts including mice and frogs but I am not supposed to give them a crust from a sandwich, its silly rules,, I would never feed meat or processed food but cant see what harm fruit and veg etc will do

we have all our recycling collected we have so many boxes though seperate ones for glass, tins, plastics, paper and cardboard and 2 wheelie bins one for brown waste, food etc and one for rubbish you need a lot of room to store all the boxes and bins,

We've four bins and a hessian bag for paper around here.
    Blue -cardboard
    Green- grass cuttings weeds etc.
    Brown-glass, tins, plastic bottles only.
    Grey- all other waste.
I'd hate to think where I'd put them if we didn't have a drive way.

The plastic one gets me... We're not allowed to put yogurt pots/marg tubs or the plastic tubs from fruit in them only plastic bottles minus the lids!!

    Evening all

Got a c&c this afternoon. Shows as collected but when I go to the APG site to check it I get this message
    "We're sorry...

The details for your latest order haven't been found.

Please ensure that you've waited 24 hours after your shopping was delivered to compare prices."

Anyone else getting that and do we have to wait 24 hours?

    tia :)

Its usual to get that message but it usually shows the apg if you check after 4/5 hours. My shop from 8pm last night didn't produce the voucher until early this morning - would probably have worked after midnight but I was asleep!

I remember the first fiasco as was day dgd was born. That problem was the whole banking system not just benefits.
I would not have liked to have been working at the benefit office counter today.

In the old days if a giro didn't turn up or get issued we could release a new one at 3 pm and cancel the old one. Not the same with payments through banking system.

I bet it has been a busy day for the food banks.

I understand, it can be totally terrifying to be so sort of money and then not get a payment. I think the banks should have to pay a fixed penalty to customers when this happens, like they are quick to charge if you go overdrawn:mad:

Off to Bedford tomorrow for a 3 night stay. Couple of things to remove from dad's that auction house wouldn't take then we complete early next week.
Our buyer is now in a hotel and we have allowed her to store all her stuff at the house.
Dgds birthday on Saturday and I have tonight collected the sweetie cones we are using as party bags. They are fab and great value at £1.50 each

Also booked a lovely spa day to go back to the center parcs spa at Woburn next month for dd's birthday treat. Taking the lovely naebbirac with me. Will be nice to show her my home town. Of course we booked the most cost effective package:T

Just present wrapping (sorry dgd but I still have peppy pig paper left from last year. Not buying frozen paper for the sake of it) and a bit of packing to do then driving up lavish tomorrow.

Hope the weather stays nice. We had lots of cloud this afternoon. Threatened rain but none came.

    V x

Just wondering what package you are doing at center parcs? I was actually looking at the Woburn one, as a friend recommended it to me and I'm not too far away. Would quite like to go for my birthday next month, but not sure I'm going to fit it in between holiday and surgery.

    Morning all.

I have a day off today and my friend who I made the baby box for texted me to say she's had her wee one early :D He wasn't due for another month but I guess when you're ready! 5lbs and 11oz. I was 5lbs 3oz so he's part of the awesome small baby club now ;)

What lovely news, congrats to your friend. :T

Congrats Mrs Stinky, he looks gorgeous! :T

    When are you moving ILTS?
8 days to go until we move now, I'm starting to get twitchy (I struggle with big changes sometimes - this is one of them :rotfl: )
I've had my hand down the toilet all morning trying to scrub it clean, DH has got me worrying we won't leave the house in a fit state when we go :o
Cheeky beggar EA rang to ask if they could show prospective tennants (our buyer is a landlord, so this house will be BTL) around next week while we're still living here   DH hit the roof and told them to take a long walk off a short pier :rotfl:
Bubbs, LS and Tiger I expect you all to visit for a cuppa so you can help me pick holes in whats wrong with our new house when we move in :D

Bless you, you must be very stressed. I'm sure the house will be fine when you leave it, I really wouldn't worry too much about it. Definitely want to come and see your new house, might be a while though unless bubbs can come and pick me up (:D), as won't be driving for at least 6 weeks after my surgery. :(
