Enjoyed my little trip out on the train with the trollie in tow as you never know what you might find on your travels. Then felt sad as was in Next and a lady had her purse taken out of her handbag with £400 in and her cards:eek:she had just got a new Grandaughter and was buying Pressies for her.I offered her money for her train fare but like Nannylala she was a pensioner and had a freedom pass so was able to get home but was more worried what her DH was going to say to her. There are some awful people about that have no scruples:(

I am always trying to get my Mum to keep her cards away from her purse but she won't, even when I gave her a nice leather pouch for it. (One of those No7 ones which were £1 with a voucher.) Once she dropped her purse at Euston and a lady chased her to give it back to her but it hasn't made her change how she does things or even put a tenner somewhere different so she isn't ever without cash. :(

Noise - not too much, slightly noticeable but like fan oven.

It'd do thin fries in next to no time - haven't tried them but sure it would! I do VERY chunky ones after using some Flora cooking stuff (5ml or so) in a thin plastic bag to coat chips - put them in at 160C for about 20mins to cook inside, turn over 1/2 way and then up the temp to 180 or 200C for last 10 mins. However thin would take FAR less & probably do at 180-200C - it's trial & error as potatoes differ. I also do things like peppers/courgettes. Fish is great in there, you can actually taste the fish BUT you can't buy the very long portions. I put fish on top of chips for last half of cooking.

It takes a bit of getting used to but it's something I wouldn't be without now. Warming up Bhajees pakoras etc. it SO easy. Meat does in about 2/3rds of time at a lower temp. as does most ready prepared stuff. I've done things like apple turnovers with Justrol we got for nothing.

For 2 people it's ideal. Could do 3 at a push, not really for a family though.

If the white doesn't strike you then the black Duronic with square basket (which we have) is £69.99 + postage at Amazon.

I love my air fryer and really recommend it. And very grateful for these cooking tips! But I have not cooked meat in my fryer. How do you do that please?

Can anyone remember the charity that recycled biscuit wrappers/tassimo pods/stamps etc I think it was count the kicks and someone put a link on the forum showing local collectors?
I've now got a box full of the above but can't find the link that showed all the collectors, there was someone a few streets from me but I can't find the page on Facebook now:( I really don't do facebook:o
    Anyone any ideas?

I found this link http://www.terracycle.co.uk/en-UK/brigades.html and am thinking of using them to get rid of a dead laptop which was on its way to the tip. You might be able to send the wrappers there -- they pay the postage. Does anyone have any experience of this website please?
