vodafone upgrade Liars

Hi, I just want an opinion from everyone.

Heres the story...

My contract was up for renewal, so I called Customer Service to see what deals I can get.. My request to them was

w880i Handset
1gb mem card
bluetooth headset
speakers

12 month contract with current line rental,
200 mins 250 text stop the clock. paying just over £24 per month

obviously I am asking for a lot, so I just told them I wanted the PAC code...

A lady called me back after the weekend and trying to get me to stay with them, and I clearly told them again what I requested for. She was happy to process that deal.

The next day, a package arrived from Vodafone, which contained on the Handset, with the 1gb mem card. So i decided to call them back and see what they got to say about it.

I got through to a guy and he says that I was not given that offer and the offer was not documented. I thought how cheeky of them to upgrade my contract by telling me that I will get what i want, which i didn't.

Well... the calls should be recorded, because how else can there be a proof of agreement to the contract.

Is it not illegal that they lied about my offer, when i'm sure the evidence are in the recordings?

    Send it back.

I asked for written confirmation from 02 when renewing my contract with them last year. I read it and then confirmed that I accepted it before they started the new one.

People are too eager to get their "Shiny new phone" and leave themselves open to abuse.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.
