Saturday 6th June & Sunday 7th June- what small DFW things will you do today?

Hi All
This thread is for anyone looking for ways to focus on the small things that add up to debt freedom. This is a daily thread to log the small steps that we can all take each day that really add up.
Examples may be putting your washing out on the line instead of using the tumble drier. Shopping with a list instead of going and putting loads of unwanted items in your trolley. Leaving the CC at home and using cash for transactions.
Good luck on your small things, they really make a difference.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Hey to all the regular runners & riders
Hoping the coming week will see the end of the forum gremlins that have been so frustrating this week. I know I've lost posts and have seen many saying the same.
    Hello to any newbies!

Well. The past 2 days have been a challenge. I had some very bad news on thursday regarding my claim that to be honest have just made me feel so bad I haven't wanted to interact. But I am starting to get back to my normal self now.

Today is my son's school fair and I am helping out on the face painting stall. Which should be a lot of fun.
I took a walk to our big supermarket this morning to be the cheapest dw tabs which I haven't been able to get hold of for a few days. So that saved me about £1.20
I found 5p in the car park on the walk down.
I used up about a £1 in coppers in the self service machine & a 3p brand match coupon.
We used up some croissants from the shop for breakfast that wouldn't have lasted anyway.
Have logged 5 NSDs so far this week which is more out of necessity than design but still a plus.
Haven't yet moved anything out of the EF but will have to soon.
Gave son a few little jobs this morning like taking recycling out to the bin and rubbish. So he can earn pocket money which is important for learning money management skills early.

Ok we'll that's me for now.

Jo Jo - hope you feel better. I sympathise. As a self employed person of my own business I've worked through 2 lots of tonsillitis. Fevers and extreme throat pain. Hideous. But when it's that or lose money....

Yorkshire - sorry to hear you've also had a crappy week.

    Love to everyone else.

    Good Afternoon All

Hugs to all that need or want one (I do), the last few days have seen me at my lowest (for a long while).

Having a bit of a strange and frustrating morning - expecting delivery of my new garden table and chairs (that I've won), step-son is supposed to be calling to collect our old garden table and chairs, son has a shocking cold and sore throat and my darling and wonderful step-daughter is taking me to the theatre this afternoon to see "Pride & Prejudice"

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

    Today's little list:

Packed lunch for DH - Done (free sandwich courtesy of Mr Walkers)
    Ironing - Done
Shed emptied & cleaned (we are moving it round & trying to clear some clutter at same time) - Done
    Relax at theatre -
List a few bits for sale - Done
    Continue purge on Emails -
Continue purge on FB & Twitter -
    Surveys -
    Check Banks -
    Check swapits -
    Enter a few comps -
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer -
Check https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win -
Read - "A Tap on the Window" (another win)

Have a great day, love to you all

Mainly revision for me this weekend as I have an exam on Monday afternoon.

    No spend day on Saturday
    Meals from stores
    Usual surveys/SB
Car boot sale Sunday morning, as I am looking for a few things for the house (and also to avoid going crazy through revision!)

Sorry to hear you've been feeling low Ziggy. Congratulations on your garden furniture win and enjoy the theatre.

    1. Hung washing outside (and took it back in quickly as it started blowing a gale!)
    2. Defrosted chicken for tonight's made from scratch dinner
    3. Dropped off six Re-Bags and collected the loyalty stamps. DFW part of it - didn't buy anything while I was there!

    Afternoon all :)
Thanks for the start Bob - sorry to hear you have had bed news :(
Sorry you haven't been feeling great Ziggy, though congrats on the win, and the theatre sounds nice :)

Speedy recovery to Bagpuss's Nan :)

    List for today:

    Checked banks

One poll surveys done. I seem to get quite a few. Hope they pay out when the time comes! Does anyone have any experience with them?

Shopping at Lidls, then I *might* also have bought more plants while I was out :o With some people it is shoes and make up, for me it is books and plants :o

Looked after baby GD while OH and DD collected some apple trees that DD and her friend had acquired (I wonder where she has inherited that tendency from :rotfl:) Then made them all lunch :)

Washing on line drying, I will get it in shortly

Breakfast and lunch from home, but we are visiting DD for a BBQ tonight. Hope the weather holds, it is sunny and warm but with an unpleasant strong wind. I will take along some bits and pieces by way of contribution :)

    Sowed some more lettuce seed

Front garden pots watered, still the back garden ones to do though.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, despite all the issues :(

Thank you Zig. That means a great deal to me. I am not good reaching out when I get to that level. But in my favour I have always found after a couple of days at the bottom I bounce. I guess I should be very thankful that I am naturally resilient. As for you feeling low. I am very sorry to hear it. As I've said before the efforts you make to set up the thread most days and keep us all on track do not go unnoticed. Hugs to you as well.
