Another vote for the Techmoan videos. He has reviewed just about every make and model available.
I chose the Mobius because of it's small size and the fact that it is very difficult for anyone outside the car to notice it.0 -
Mobius +1 for me too, wired into car's cigarette lighter on a dual port USB thing - easy to fit myself and route the wire, small, can record 3 days of footage on a 32gb card and loops, quality good enough to pick out number plates and show who was doing wrong.
The accidents you have to worry about are people cutting in front of you or brake testing you where the insurers will assume your fault as you went into the back (as it is much cheaper to pay out than accuse the other driver of fraud and go to court). People going into the back can rarely get away unless you move your car especially in traffic or congestion so less of an issue (and the majority of motorists are honest people not out to crash and scraper - and the ones that are probably don't have insurance/license/are drunk etc)Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
