Dash Board Cameras?

Good quality - and cheap? That's not easy.
At first I had a cheap and nasty one bought on eBay for under £15 - unfortunately it's a toy - I should have known better - the picture quality is poor and my deciding point is whether I can read the number-plates on cars coming to meet me or in front of me - the cheap ones can't meet that requirement.

If you want something that will give a video clip that would stand up in court or for an insurance company query, then you need something decent.
Have a look at these:

I bought the Transcend Drive-Pro 200 and I'm very happy with it.

I've used the G1W and G1WH and both are great for the price. All your base are belong to us.0 -
Do not just go and buy a dashcam - don't do it.
Go and buy either a dual dashcam or 2 dashcams.
You want one for the back as a lot of accidents happen with someone coming into the back of you.0 -
I have a dual one but its not essential, if someone crashes into the back of you then its usually their fault.
If they claim you reversed into them then the front CAM will prove that you didnt reverse when the impact happened.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Good to get their license plate though I assume?
In other news - I just renewed and one of the sites (not sure which now, I filled in a lot of forms) had dashcam ownership and brand as one of the questions...
Interestingly the list they recognise are:
Blackvue, Chillibongo, Garmin, Mi Witness, Mio MiVue, Natio, Nextbase and Roadhawk. Read from that what you will...:: No Links in signatures please - FM ::0 -
X3000 are pretty good for a cheap camera £30ish. I've had 3 of these for last year or so and whilst the GPS is hit n miss, they are reliable.
The problem, as with most cameras is night view.0
