Checking in with some VERY exciting news....

I have enough in the envelope to pay off the cab!!!!!! Had a really busy day and even went over the amount I needed, so have £30 to decide what to do with!

The next target is the £250 share money, I am giving myself 2 weeks to do this as I am going to divide my takings between this project and my savings, so a new start tomorrow....will be strange not having to think about the cab rent anymore, it hasn't really sunk in yet,

Off to update my signature but want to say a big thank you to all of you that have spurred me along and hope you might continue to do so, THANKYOU x

Black Taxi you ask how to make £1000 in the shortest time possible

There are some professions which bill at £300 per hour or more. I have paid a lawyer that for some niche work on a contract which was in dispute.

So it is possible to make £1000 in three hours plus change

    That's the long game, admittedly

    Hi all,

Good shift tonight but still trying to find my way now I am one envelope less to fill!! (Why do I make that sound like a bad thing?)

Have started on the last 2 targets...£60 to the savings (have ALOT to catch up on here to get where I wanted to be by now BUT it's still not the 1st July yet?)

£30 towards the share so down to £220 now.

Have also added to my various change pots

I know I will find a new system for saving, I just need a few tweeks I think...

  • Hi,

Ive enjoyed reading your progress - just the inspiration i needed as im struggling at the moment and need to refocus - so im using your idea of keeping a total of the loose change/coins i have. Dont have pots but do have money bags which i will then bank when full.

Keep up the good work :)

It's the 1st of july so a whole 6 months of saving starting today to get to my target, am very excited and will chart my progress daily, not having a very good start haha, but it's only day 1!!

    More to follow.....

  • I am so impressed with your hard work and motivation. Truly an inspiration to us all! I also save coppers and £2 coins but also have a lot of cr cd debt. I think I will use my loose change savings to eat away at my debt rather than keep as savings. You have really inspired me. Keep it up! Xxx

Thank you chicken lady and everyone for reading...
Half day on Wednesday as always and a real slow one but have added £55 to various envelopes and pots...on target for day 1!

Goin to add up and take away for the rest of the evening haha, have a long way to go yet...

The change in my signature isn't included under my savings goal as this will change each time a pot reaches £50, I am only including notes in my savings total x

  • Hi dont know if its any help but mystery shopping can be a decent money earner. I do a lot of McDonalds jobs and they can bring in up to £20 plus the cost of your meal. :)
