    Hi,

Keep going!! have you looked in your home if there is anything that is gathering dust in a cupboard/corner/wardrobe etc

Scrap/Rag clothes can be bulk dropped off to a local recycling centre its about £6 per 10kg but better than nothing. Are you on facebook, that kitchen appliance that was a good idea at the time and now never used can be sold on there and theres no cost to you as buyer picks up and pays cash, every little helps!!

    Thank you for your replies,

I have told my daughter we are going through her wardrobe this week as she has loads to throw out, just means I will need to replace most of it!

Think there are some bags of old clothes up in the attic too, it's just finding time when I could be sat out in the cab working, devil and the deep blue sea...
I don't have facebook so no scope there.

It might just take squeezing in a few more hours this week to catch up, will also appeal to the other half about the kids next weekend, as i am self employed and he assumes it's up to me to sort out the childminding, or stay home, this causes numerous arguments as he is aware of the amount i lose by not working the full days weekends...

How old is your daughter?? could you make a deal with her that anything shes not worn in the last 6/9 months (covers all seasons) then it goes into the bag??

    Before I started de-cluttering I had clothes I hadn't worn for 5 years!!!

Depending on what time you start work you could always do a drop off to the recycling centre on the way too work, just fill up the back of the cab!!

Have you looked at the £100 offers available for switching to certain bank accounts? If not take a look on the MSE main site and consider that. It's not instant cash but it is straight forward to do and will help increase your savings when the money comes through in the future.

Perhaps you could incentivise your daughter to help go through her clothes with you by allowing her to keep say 50% of the sales value and go shopping together to choose some clothes? Same for her toys / old books perhaps? I would do this with her just so she doesn't put in anything you really do want her to keep (I gave a Harrods Polar Bear to a charity shop and regret it still) but it could be good to get her involved and learning the value of £ too.

Ok, have added £30 to the cab and £50 to start my savings like I wanted to today, have used some of my change to start me off as I needed to refresh my float and thought it was all better off sitting in 2 pots than various little ones and stressing about them all.

Also going to try a nice early start in the morning as this is my third dry night in a long time...

So at the end of play tonight...

£50 in savings and £25 to the cab.....leaves me £45 behind and will probably go up a bit as have plans tomorrow night,

Good news is though I can work all day Saturday as the girls are going to a house warming party at 11am with their dad, strange that he booked the day off for this months ago but has seen me struggle the last 3 weeks???? I might be able to catch up a little.

    Totalled up this morning...

Have added £50 to the savings and £30 to the cab, early start and early finish today so crossing my fingers I can still hit my target.

Another dry night last night so doing well there too, hoping I can keep it up tonight as I normally have a couple of glasses of wine on my night off,

Am still £45 behind where I wanted to be but not going to worry too much..

Added up this morning and didn't have a good day yesterday so all I can add is £50 to the savings in the form of a very fresh £50 note!!

Can work all day today and tomorrow so I shouldn't struggle for the next 2 days...might even be able to catch up a little, would be nice to be at least half way through the cab target...
