The bank have NOT withdrawn funds without your authorisation. They are fully entitled to rectify problems such as this without referring to the account holder. Smallprint is there for a reason.
You are NOT entitled to do anything with the money, but you are entitled to keep any proceeds gained from it whilst in the account.
