EDIT - wouldn't they allow her to rip the label off beforehand?
Yes that's what I meant sorry, she had to take the label off.Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0 -
Even if someone was 'supervising' the coats, how would they know if someone had picked up the wrong one?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
its a case of 'well the exam board wont let students take bags and coats into the room'! if the students need coats (and it was peeeing down yesterday) and bags for other lessons then the school SHOULD have made provision for that. after all they KNOW the rules. and don't tell me that there isn't somewhere where items cant be locked away. do the staff take their coats and personal items everywhere?0

Exams often take place in sports halls or gyms, so coats and bags can be left in changing rooms.0 -
They should have a theft policy, rather than being blamed for someone being a thief. And then the parent if the child (assuming it is a child) can be held responsible for their child's actions, and they can pay for the jacket.Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0

IME, teachers leave their coats and other belongings in the staff room, with the exception of handbags which they take with them. Staffrooms, of course, aren't usually locked.0 -
