For those that have 08 numbers included in their T-Mobile/EE Contracts.
Options
I have just noticed that I am being charged for calls to a 0844 and 0871 number, they are the only two calls to 08 numbers that I have made this month.
One for nearly six minutes totaling £1.99 and the other less than a minute for £0.33 ex VAT, they are showing in my unbilled activity, bill is still a few weeks away.
Is this the sign of things to come.

Its a billing issue. They are aware of it and credits will be applied once the bundles start working again.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

The changes don't start until July 1st? I've checked and been told that I'll only be charged for calling chargeable 08 number outside my minutes allowance.0

Made another few calls to a 0844 number yesterday which I wasn't charged for this time, as per usual.
Guess I'll have to ring them when I'm billed to get the calls I have been charged for refunded.0 -
Did you not read post number 2? Credits will be applied automatically...I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. You said credits will be applied once the bundles start working. The bundles started working and credits have not been applied.
That would appear to be reason to phone EE.
I suspect that what you meant to say in post number 2 is that when your next bill is calculated a credit will be automatically raised to cover any incorrect charges.0 -
Numerous people on EE have reported being charged for calls to 084 and 087 numbers from about the 1st of June 2015 to about the 5th of June 2015, but are no longer being charged for calls made after those dates.0

Indeed. No point ringing as the agents will be told not to credit as it'll be done automatically.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Since they are changing it from the 1st of July, are there any alternatives for 08 numbers at the moment, I haven't followed this for a while ? The new t-mobile pricing seems pretty bad, you would be better off calling from landline. All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30

Just spoke to CS - they are saying it is all good, the pricing have actually changed on the 1st of June, it is just that there was a minor error in the text message claiming it would be from the 1st of July. So they are not removing it, but if I call after my bill date they can try to refund it as a good will. Requested PAC code, not the first time I get all these lies from t-mobile, I think it is enough. All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30

Since 13 June 2014, retailers traders and passenger transport companies have been required to use 01, 02, 03 or 080 numbers for post sales helplines. Similar regulation will shortly also apply to financial services including banks and insurance companies.
Following Cabinet Office guidance published in December 2013, government departments, their agencies and other public services including local authorities have largely abandoned 0845 numbers in favour of 0300 and 0345 numbers.
084 numbers have been banned throughout the NHS since 2010. A ban on the use of 087 and 09 numbers was put in place in 2005. Lax enforcement means that some cases remain.
From 1 July 2015 all remaining users of 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers are required to declare their Service Charge everywhere their number is advertised. Those who cannot justify this charge must change their number to stop imposing it.
Ofcom has offered a simple migration from 084 to 034 and from 087 to 037 since 2007. Nowadays, there should be almost no need to call 084 or 087 numbers.
