@TD - links 2 and 3 are 'dead'! Half your post is 'dead'!

Haven't seen you around here in a while! :)

Just a quick note to say the operator's original rejection letter said it would pursue for collection of the PCN in accordance with the POFA 2012 Act.
Is this significant or have any bearing on the case?

Only if they actually complied with POFA 2012, which they probably didn't.

It might mean they are more likely to try court, but you'll still be able to get rid of them so don't worry about it.

I am in Spain. I have had a problem accessing this forum, which is strange, as everything else works OK

Thought I'd post an update on the status of this PCN dispute, which is basically to say I think it's been dropped by the operator due to landowner intervention.

A few days after this original post at the beginning of the month, I mailed the Regus office at Fort Dunlop where the PCN was received. It was their Business Lounge I had dropped in to use.

Predictably, I received no response so after 3 days I sent a snotogram to Regus Head Office. I had a call from Regus Fort Dunlop the next day as I expected.

    Conversation went something like this...

"This is xxxx xxxx from Regus Fort Dunlop, sorry we didn't reply to your email earlier this week, our server's been down, how can I help?"

"You can help by getting the PCN I received dropped please"

"Oh no, that's out of our control I'm sorry to say"

"No it isn't.At other Regus facilities I've visited they have a book where you can enter in your reg number and they let the parking operator know so a PCN isn't issued, I expected the same here at Fort Dunlop"

"Well we don't have that arrangement here"

"Obviously not which is why I ran back at top speed to move my car, but too late. Point is, you don't mention that in the description on the website so I think Regus has a duty of care to its customers to make good when mistakes happen as a result"

"So what would you like me to do?"

"Call Urban Splash and tell them to contact the Operator to get my ticket dropped"

"We've tried that before, they just say it's nothing to do with them and to speak with the Operator"

"Tell them that's not true. They employ the Operator. Then tell them I appealed and they won't back down. Then tell them I won't back down either and what's quicker, a phone call to Parkshield or filling out court paperwork?"

"I'll see what I can do but I can't promise anything"

"Look, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Easy way is you call and ask them to make the phone call, pay them if you have to, I don't care. Hard way is I go onto LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook and let umpteen million people know that Regus doesn't care about its customers. You'll probably get a call from Head Office asking you to sort it out, same result but whole lot less hassle for you".

    "O.K, leave it with me"

"Thanks, you can end this here, it's your choice really"

I've had no red letters or anything and that was nearly 3 weeks ago so I'm thinking (and hoping) the call was made and the PCN dropped.

If not, you can read all about it on social media! Hope I won't have to eat my words!

The last time this parking company were at court for parking at Fort Dunlop, it was because a motorist was demanding her money back. They didn't exactly lose, but ended up paying her parking fee and court fees.

The motorist was slightly out of pocket for the fee to adjourn the first hearing, but the parking company were hugely out of pocket.
