I am about to have my first 1-2-1 consultations and I wonder what would be the best option for me to get redundancy? If I were to say I am not flexible to the extend they requirein that I can work certain days? I will lose out on premiums if I don't work Saturdays?
all genuine reasons and applicable to me btw
(There are two positions and and three candidates at present)

Just be honest with them, I had the same thing years ago as my "job" was being taken over by outside contractors and they tried to offer me something I was not happy with {both in hours and pay}. I got the redundancy and 48 hours later had a new job with less hours and better pay and stayed with the new company for over 18 years.0

I will tell them where I stand and what works for, see what they can offer and take it fron there(probably will speak to my union rep afterwards)0

Good luck to you I hope it all goes well and best of luck for thye future :0)0

Had my first consultation yesterday and I laid my cards on the table...seen as though there are only two positions, I will be interviewed along with other candidates0

Hypothetically if I score low in the interview, will I lose my job without redundancy?0
-
No you shouldn't lose out on the redundancy if you do not get one of the offered positions0

So I would still be employed with my current employer until they serve me notice...even though I was unsuccessful in the interview process0

The more places you read the more examples you will get of what is and is not an acceptable SOSR0 -

Assuming I cannot find a suitable alternative and then I am given three months notice on say 15th July...and then in August a suitable job comes up, do I have to apply for the job otherwise I may lose my redundancy payment?0
