Oh- I see what you mean they have updated the website and they are now pushing the 4.1.3 version.

I prefer the portable version cos you can put it on a memory stick and use it on any computer.

It says under the download/donation buttons - "Gramps 4.x builds for Windows have a possible licensing conflict and some stability issues. Research is ongoing..." So for the moment I'll stick with the old version but the latest version does work OK but be prepared for some bugs.

If GRAMPS doesn't do the job you want then there is another free program that produces some nice looking reports. Input from GEDCOM.

I haven't really used it cos its a lot of work to put in all the photos.

The family tree chart can also be printed or saved as an image file. Look for the well disguised gear/cog at the top/right of the tree.

You don't need to allow them update capability if you don't want to.

Last time I tried this, the person wanting to view the tree had to be a paid-up member.
