    Well, you were all absolutely right. Carpet right came in way over what we wanted to spend at £2k and weren't willing to budge, to get the price down they said we should pick cheaper carpets! Unfortunately, due to having cats, we have to avoid any loop pile and these seem to be the cheaper ones!

    So we ended up going to a local carpet warehouse which we found online, got it all priced up, with a better quality underlay, and a really nice deep pile luxury carpet for both the lounge and main bedroom, all in at £1400. Very happy.

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    In my small town there are at least half a dozen independent carpet layers with shop units that let you see the carpets all laid out.

    There is no added convenience carpet right, and there is a good chance with the independent guy, the person you are speaking to is the one going to lay the carpet, not some sub contractor.
