BSB (Bank State Branch) Number/Code

Ballard I have no idea what makes you think English wouldn't be my first language. Anyway, back to my both questions: I am interested for both, 100% completed list of countries which have financial institutions defined per BSB code (this was my first question) as well as list of BSB codes (second question) of every single financial institution in every single country from list I am asking for in first question. However if I had to choose only one answer to get, I would most likely choose first one. Since once I have full list of countries, it can be easier to update my debit authorization forms (for clients to be reviewed/signed) according to the country. Furthermore this (referring to BSB code of either every single or needed financial institution) can also be found on activity statements. Both answers would be wonderful to have. Second answer would obviously be very large list but more important is first answer. Surely Australia isn't the only country where financial institutions are defined per BSB. Following simply rule, taken from legitimate/trustworthy source, proves this: In New Zeland BSB Number are first six digits of Bank Account Number. Obviously here count only financial institutions physically located in New Zeland and not their registered ones located in foreign countries. Those don't have BSB Number unless the country is related to my first question.
Reaper, I apologize for correcting you but this:Either you want Aussie ones in which case use BSB, or you want universal codes in which case look at SWIFT (for banks) and IBAN (for accounts).
is NOT true. Big difference between bsb and swift. Every single financial institution (FI), both banks and credit unions, are defined per swift. So in countries (my first question) is secondary identification BSB. Obviously Vanuatu's FIs are defined per swift code as others in every single country worldwide. I am asking for the countries where FIs are defined per BSB.0 -

Reaper I found yes but those aren't BSB Numbers because BSB are either six or seven digits/charachters (it may or may not have dashes) values.0

Apologies for assuming that English isn't your first language.
Most countries that I've encountered have some sort or routing code. Sort codes in the UK & Ireland are just two examples but off the top of my head you can add Germany, USA, Israel, South Africa. I could go on but this post is boring enough as it is!
I doubt that anyone on here will have a complete list of Aussie BSBs so I suspect that you'll have to investigate for yourself.
Although the vast majority of banks are on Swift some are not. I say this because I've tried to find codes for numerous small banks in the US in the past and have failed. I've searched on https://www.swift.com and on The Bankers Almanac website (this is subscription) to no avail.
IBANs are gaining importance worldwide but not every country has embraced them. The US is the prime example.0 -

Ballard noone is talking about Sort Codes, Routing Numbers or IBANs. We are talking about BSB. My both questions were BSB related. However I will continue in this paragraph of text with offtopic to reply to your message: As far as I know there is no Sort Code in Germany. Thats because in Germany and Austria are BLZ (Bankleitzahl) Codes. I have never heard either Israel or South Africa would have unique such financial institution codes but if they do, even if outside of the scope of my two questions, I would love to know what kind of codes do they have: abbreviations, full term, rule (e.g. charachter or numeric), max/min length and/or even collection of those codes. If you stil need any bank codes for USA financial institutions (surely Routing Number also known as ABA Number - there is no other bank code type in USA), let me know and I will check my collection if I have anything for you. USA doesn't have IBAN codes. Once again: I am asking if someone could help with BSB Codes.
Reaper I already have such list from here (sorry for such link but im not able to post whole link due to forum restriction):
http : // bsb DOT apca DOT com DOT au / public / BSB_DB.NSF / publicBSB DOT xsp
but it is for Australia only. However according to your and others messages in this forum topic and according to my research, I am starting to think answer on my first question (see again above what the first question was) is ''Australia and New Zeland''. If yes, I predicted incorrectly thinking countries like Vanuatu, Cook Islands,... would have financial institutions being defined per BSB code. However the link I provided to you isn't yet what I need. I need 100% complete list for New Zeland also. Not just Australia.0 -

All you want is BSB codes but you're also interested in Israel & South Africa.
The US also have CHIPS codes to identify banks.
It doesn't help your cause that you've put this topic in the 'Savings' forum.
Good luck with your endeavours but I'm unable to assist any further.0 -

See the XLS list of 3196 NZ banks and their details. Bank number + branch number = NZ BSB. I don't know if it's 100% complete or not but surely you could just contact the banks yourself.0
