Wright Hassall letter, parking on yellow cross hatched area

Hi,
I've searched numerous forums and found different advice on this subject. Also, I believe my case is slightly different to most as it wasn't that I overstayed in a space, I was parked on a yellow cross hatched area on a hospital site.
I got a ticket on my window at the time but after speaking with colleagues this seems to be fairly common. (A number of people often park in this area, even though, admittedly we shouldn't)
I ignored the ticket and then heard nothing, until now. The ticket was issued on 4/2/2015 but the first letter I have recieved is dated 22/5/2015 from a company named 'Wright Hassall'
It says there is an outstanding balance of £108 - seems excessive!
Should I just pay? It warns about CCJ's etc.
Apologies if these questions have been answered previously. I know mostly it is a dispute over length of time overstayed etc. but I am not claiming I didn't park there, just questioning whether their threat is valid.
Thank you

which hospital ?
and Newbies thread still is the required read and steps....Ex forum ambassador
Long term forum member0 -
Your circumstances are no different to anyone else, read the newbies thread and use the search on here to find out about the scam letters suposedly from Wright Hassall there are loads.
Name the parking company so that the regulars can advise on what the best approach is.0 -
Your ticket is no different from any other. You breached the terms and conditions, you got a ticket. Only get a ccj If you went to court, lost and still didn't pay so banish those thoughts. Which parking company has passed it over to Right Hassle (you couldn't make it up)?0

Thanks all.
The client is 'ZZPS' - not sure who they are, never had anything from them.
The Car Park operator (or people that issue the tickets) are Vinci Park
I was just a bit thrown by the newbie thread as I haven't had half of that sent to me, just literally a ticket on the day and now this letter.0 -
post #4 deals with debt collectors like ZZPS (a phoenix debt collector company)
a search of the forum would show dozens if not hundreds of ZZPS queries ( IGNORE zzps )
VINCI is the operator that issued your ticket
search the forum for WRIGHT HASSELL or "right hassle" to see the advice about them and about any SRA complaints or letters to tell wright hassell to refer back to client
any wright hassell letter is actually zzps trying to frighten you but its still only a debt collector letter
if you did not know this, then you have not read enough forum threads as you are in a long line of recipients
it would appear that VINCI have not sent the RK an NTK, therefore the RK cannot be held accountable under POFA 2012
you could complain about this NO - NTK to the BPA, using the wright hassell letter as a basis for the complaint and not mentioning any ticket on the day, not mentioning the drivers details, just complaining that the BPA CoP has been breached due to VINCI not sending out a notice to keeper and no appeal process has been followed so you as RK have been denied your right to be informed or to appeal
ie:- a complaint from an irate person receiving this wright hassell letter for the first time
some reading for you

You can tell how phoney that letter is by (I bet) the phrase "we will have to refer this to our litigation department". If they are supposed to be solicitors they would not need a "litigation department", they are a law firm! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Thanks redx.
The search clearly isnt working on my browser. I have typed in 'Wright hassall' and 'zzps' and it keeps saying no results.
Or maybe i'm thick....
thanks0 -
I doubt that you are thick, you just wont be doing it correctly
the banner at the top of the threads here has a drop down box and the right hand part of the menu says SEARCH THIS FORUM (just above REPLIES/VIEWS) , click it , put WRIGHT HASSELL into it and press return or hit GO
it is really that easy, plus its how I found some of those links0 -
Of course you have to search the general parking ticket thread list, not just this one thread. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Here are another couple of links from PePiPoo to help you understand this and how to tackle it.

The next is quite a lengthy thread, a different PPC, but you will see how the OP is being provided with some very robust strategies for dealing with Wright Hassall (ZZPS) - who are now involved.
