Thank you. They are mostly annoyed at the facts being wrong. I will advise them accordingly.
good, the more facts that are wrong on the invoice the better, the better the chance at popla, although the appeal will be mainly based on no contract, poor signage , not a gpeol , incorrect NTK, flawed NTK , the works
the point about these invoices is that sometimes the facts are deliberately altered to mislead the recipient, which can provoke a reaction whereby they feel the need to correct the PPC, plus in so doing they leave themselves wide open due to admitting details that they should not
they may say its a red ford when its a blue astra, for example
you can see the police programmes do this where they try to goad the suspect by saying one thing in order to get the suspect to implicate themselves in response0 -
Thanks @RedX - I'm just sorting out the template letter now. Am I right to leave out any facts or corrections?
Just send the template letter as is? - even if none of the points are relevant?
The more I read online (and in this forum) the more astounded I am that these companies get away with this sort of thing. More to read tomorrow when I can get some peace to study it all again.
I will watch the iPlayer stuff tomorrow evening after work.
Time for bed now - early rise tomorrow - so thanks once again for your time and effort. It is appreciated.

they often do follow ups so it might be worth a letter/email
Patrick Troy who runs the BPA also asked for emails to improve the BPA so perhaps an email to him might be nice

Even consider the local papers Dail Mail as they may well run a story for you.

Same as my NTK the other month..
the road and postcode on mine were totally different from that where the vehicle was actually parked, and that was the first point (of 7) in my popla appeal.. (which incidentally is up for its decision from tomorrow, and i have not received anything from the PPC yet, so I assume that means they are not contesting my appeal??)0 -

Have you checked your email Junk folder? There have been occasions when the PPC's Evidence Pack has surfaced there. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Correct, don't tell them about the mistakes, it's not relevant at this stage. They'll reject it anyway and correcting things might give them more to go on. The main goal of the first appeal is to get a POPLA code, for a semi-independent appeals system, where you can get the invoice cancelled.Just send the template letter as is? - even if none of the points are relevant?
Most of the points are relevant, and it's up for them to disprove your claims.0 -

Yes, been checking it thoroughly daily, nothing by email or snail mail yet, and appeal date from popla was 02/06.
Are they known for emailing them last thing to give you as less time as possible to counter?0 -

Sometimes, but no recognised pattern. It may be they have sent it to POPLA, but omitted you - far from unknown.
Drop POPLA an email to enquire. If they say they've received it, tell them you haven't and ask if they will forward it to you. Ask for a stay of adjudication, if that's the case, to give you time to read and respond. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Ok thanks for the advice, will do. I write amazing complaint letters, and thanks to this forum, my 6 page appeal was pretty solid and I am confident of a win whatever garbage they may use, but will double check with popla anyway.0

Hi All,
Just a quick word of thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. I sent the email on behalf of my wife's parents and we have had the fine cancelled.
All seemed a bit too easy this one - almost as if they knew.
They did put a little kick in the return email -which again is interesting considering their facts were wrong. Here it is
"Please ensure that when parking in this car park in future a parking ticket is purchased on arrival and displayed clearly in your vehicle."
Um.... they didn't park in that car park in the first place and actually did have a ticket on display - just in another car park. Idiots.
Anyway - all is well that ends well and thanks again everyone.
regards
Gareth0
