I had a regular sky box for years,
No problems.
I've had my Sky HD Box for few years and lately have had loads of problems with it freezing or becoming unresponsive. I'm doing a reset about every 3 weeks now and can take up to an hour each time.
In just wondering, can I just basically unplug my HD box and plug my old box in, instead? Is it as easy as that.
But cheesed off with it now.

You need to pair the viewing card with the 'new' box.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

When I had a Sky HD box, I put it on a plug-in timer so that it got rebooted a couple of times a week overnight - seemed to do the trick.0

Hmm, how do you go about 'pairing?'0

Ooo thats interesting about the timer. When I do a soft reset though I un plug for a minute then plug in and at same time hold the back up button.0

No wonder it's taking so long to boot up! What you are doing is initiating a software download.
All you need to do is unplug from the mains and then plug it back in again without holding any buttons. It will take a few minutes to boot up but that should be it.0
