endsleigh ..? u should check with your accommodation office to see if they have any special offer/co-operation with insurance companies. some do, and you will be able to get a pretty good quote from using the partner insurance company.

Endsleigh seem to pride themselves on doing student stuff so they might be a good bet.
Sorry I don't know your position but depending on your situation you might be cheaper getting it under your parents policy if you can. They can probably get a cheaper more comprehensive cover on their policy (certainly did in my case)0 -
Im a mature student, parents isnt an option i got.

Hi,
I was in student halls last year and the insurance was included in the fees. Might be worth checking if u haven't but if not i'd say Endsleigh too.0 -

Same with mine this year. I had no idea insurance is included and did not see it advertised anywhere. It was only with the confirmation letter that they sent the policy details! It is worth calling up residences and making sure it is not included before you sign up to another policy. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -
Saxon also offer student insurance and are usually considerably cheaper than Endsleigh

yes, endsleigh seem to offer cover "free" in most halls....details are usually available on accomodation section of uni web site or posted to you when you get your accomodation letter....I know they def operarte that way in Newcastle and NorthumbriaI'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
Endsleigh do it but are notoriously poor service... I will have a scout around online when I'm back (heading out right now) and see if I can find any other suggestions. When I was at uni, my parents put my stuff on their Saga insurance which covered children's university halls etc, much better, but obviously only if you're over 50!0

Hello again
back now!
Just to reinforce what I said above, I would not consider Endsleigh to be a good choice based on my experience with them. I have had the pleasure of having to call them twice to inform them of changes to my policy. Both times there was never anyone who could help me, I would be placed on hold for up to 20 minutes at a time, I was told I'd be called back and never was, the only way I ever managed to get them to actually do anything to help me was to threaten to make a formal complaint in writing (at which point suddenly, magically, someone was available to help me - after they'd just told me that there was no one there who could help me and that the person I needed to talk to was unavailable *rolls eyes*).
I am with the AA for motor and house insurance and so far they have always been great, and on top of that they say their student contents insurance starts from £15 so may be worth trying them.
Saxon Insurance may also be worth looking at, and many banks offer student insurance so you could ask the bank you've got your student account with if they can do you a deal.
Good luck0
