    WOW BOB!!
I found 15p in the whole of May and 10p of that was in the house already!! lol

The family have all gone, it was nice as always to catch up and I think they all enjoyed my crumble :)
:starmod: My dad cut all our hairs saving us at least £35
:starmod: Dh & Ds's shared a shower saving water
:starmod: Checked banking/updated spreadsheets an extra £1.55 in the acc which was a nice surprise!
:starmod: My sister brought something that she'd got using shopitsize which ends up with them paying us 2p for buying it :)
:starmod: Dad picked up a few bits at lil! using the £5 off voucher and wouldn't take any money from me for them :)
:starmod: Kids happy playing outside in the sunshine, nice free activity, saves energy of tv/Xbox on.
:starmod:Tea is going to be salad veggies for the kids (as lunch was huge) and we will have HM soup & bread later
:starmod: DH/Ds's lunches made for work/school tomorrow
:starmod: Will do some swagbucks this evening
    :starmod: Deleted/unsubscribed from junk emails
:starmod: Checked sunperks, TCB, FPL & quidco
:starmod: Checked through makeup bag & I have 2 un-used lipsticks (same colour) so I have put one in the downstairs loo & one on my ensuite window sill, will use them as & when I think about it, it will act as a moisturiser if nothing else!
    Have a lovely evening all

Horray! Welcome back Ziggy! So what are your top tips for a frugal break? Sounds like you did well on that front.

It helped that we were blessed with nice weather and the boys (we took our eldest grandson too) were happy to be out racing round or playing football. I did make sure I took my loyalty cards and any coupons were handy in my purse. We also were quite strict about slot machines and not spending too much time or money in them. We wombled quite a few coins - 1p/5p we brought home for money box rest we allowed for slot machines. Makng it sound awful aren't I but it really wasn't :rotfl: we ate out, lots of days out and an ice cream or two :rotfl:

    Good Afternoon All

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Just sat catching up with Springwatch from last week and relaxing after a hectic morning - shopping and then the 4 hour round trip to take grandson to his dads. Came home to a few nice freebies in post - Cajun spice, voucher for free pizza (Pizza cost £1.09 voucher scanned at £4.09 so BONUS) and something needs collecting from PO sorting office - hope it's a nice surprise ;). Today's little list:

Shopping with list & coupons - Done
Emails - lots to sort through as not bothered while away
    FB & Twitter -
    Check Banks - Done
    Check swapits -
    Enter a few comps -
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer -
Check https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win -

Also meant to mention, I've been wombling the codes from newspapers - for example

The Sun - 15 codes gives access to Sunperks for 1 month and allows you to enter all comps and can claim cinema tickets, legoland tickets and other great days out too

I have also managed to win my 4th free lunch from Walkers - so well worth looking out for the bags with the comp on or even stray bags :rotfl:

You're right, it doesn't always have to cost a lot of money to have a fun holiday.

I remember going on a Sun caravan holiday with my friend, my son and her two children when my son was small. We were both skint and went with about £20 spending money each. We shopped and cooked as if we were at home still and one of my fondest memories of that holiday was treating ourselves to a cooked chicken from Mr T and a bloomer and all eating it with our hands on the beach!
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

I agree; have had many a grand time in a tent. My OH proposed to me a few years ago on such a holiday, on the banks of Loch Lomond.

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi All

Returned home, am exhausted, but happy to be on track and not gone over budget.

So this next week I aim to do some gardening, try to get a plan to stop the cheeky fox who is visiting during the day and plan my next knitting project. Fancy doing some aran, but really should be cleaning!!! oops

Amazing amount of cars waiting to get into shopping place as we were leaving today. Was very glad to be on my way home, but I have had fun exploring clearance rails.
    Have a good week all.
