Do Audi use those concentric slave cylinders that mean the gearbox has to come off to change them, rather than the Olden Days type that bolt to the outside and work the clutch through a lever (and take 5 minutes to change)I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Depends when it was last done, might have been quite new at 120k
The plastic rod is threaded and replaceable so if it was just the accumulator it has been a very expensive part swap mistake to find out.
The DMF would have made a right racket if it had gone, but they are good money for clutch garages with a very high mark up on parts and Labour.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Even more worrying of course is the fact the garage don't seem to have even tested it after doing the first round of work0
