Can I force ex to move his debt off my card?

    You need to establish that your ex owes you £xxx - that will not affect what you owe the card company (and it is you who owes it as those above have said) but it will give you an enforceable debt. An agreement such as this does not have to be in writing - it can be verbal or implied - but it is obviously harder to establish.

    If you issued a CCJ claim, is you ex the sort of guy would would ignore the court papers? It sounds like he might be which could work in your favour.
