My daughters GHDs did the same thing so I phoned up the company and they even sent out a bag for me to post them back to them so I didn't even pay postage. I didn't have the box or the receipt and they sent her some new ones very quickly. Good luck!
I'll give it a go, thanks.KayleySomething.0 -
i've got the babyliss elegance & they are great - just as good as ghds on my hair. there are quite a few on ebay at the moment a lot cheaper than £75 which is retail price
hope that helps0 -
I have the Babyliss pro 230's and they are fantastic. I've had them since new year. I got them in the Next sale for £20! :T I am an ex hairdresser and I would say they are every bit as good as GHD's.0

GHD's are reknown for being faulty but I'd never go with any other brand. Shop brands are not as good, in any shape of form. My hair salon admits they do break easily but they are better than any other brand.0

I can't actually afford to fork out £80-£100 for a pair at the moment so I'm using my Babylis but I would agree that GHDs are the best! When I've borrowed my mates or the hairdresser has done it for me it looks great. I mean if you have really curly hair like mine then straightening your hair with anything else will not give you the same results as GHDs.March Wins

My birthday next week and was seriously thinking of splurging out on GHDs but have decided against it - need to save every penny I can at the mo. Looking to now buy the babyliss pro 230 (elegance) that retail for nearly £75. Cheapest I can see is on amazon for £50 (see here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-Pro-Elegance-Bronze-Straightener/dp/B000QEWNQE)
Can anyone find me them a hell of a lot cheaper anywhere using discount codes etc? My aim is to see if I can get nearer to £30 but I just don't think it will be possible....Also just signed up with Quidco so would like to use that as well.....
As always, any advice greatly appreciated.

This is my follow up to let you know how I got on.
I emailed Jemella TWICE enquiring about them possibly fixing my ghd's for me. I didn't get a relpy to the first email so after 2 or 3 days tried again. When I finally got a reply, they said that they would try to fix my ghd's but that they would charge me because they were over a year old  They also said that if they couldn't repair them, they would offer me a small discount towards a new pair of mk4's. I however decided against sending them to Jemella as they didn't disclose how much it would cost and I didn't fancy waiting 2 weeks to get them back. Instead I found a guy on ebay (ghd_man) who offers a ghd repair service for 16.99. I sent my straighteners off on Monday AM and received them to my door Wednesday morning - Working perfectly and with a free ghd tote bag! I definately recommend this repair service as it saved me a lot of money and the fast service prevented too many bad hair days!KayleySomething.0
