Well I have not doubt that the house will be having new occupants shortly. We had 2 couples and also two brothers looking over the house. I think it might be a race as to who got to the office with the dosh in their hands first. The agents put the other 3 viewers off. There is a severe shortage of decent houses to rent in the Melton area just now.
I must admit it shows very well. my cleaning routine serves us well, the place never gets really dirty, messy yes.......
We also had a phone call from social services this afternoon. We have to phone them when we are settled in the bungalow and they will come and have a look at the bathroom, we may get a recomendation for a wet room, which will be great.
Once we get the carpets down and furniture in I will put the photographs up on my blog so you can all have a look.0 -
Thanks DONNY-GAL for the link, I think he'd reach round that type of collar and still be able to get his nose, he has very long and skinny stick legs, and is very dextrous, bit like a cat. The cone he's wearing is a long one and he can't bend his paw round it to get to his tumour. You are so kind to think of us though, very much appreciated, Thank you, Lyn xxx.0

Janb from the thread Make do, Mend and Minimise has heard from Jackie.
The op was quite long but she is fine and as Jan says "holding court with the other patients", so that is good news.
Wishing her a very speedy recovery from all her chums

Thanks for the news - and glad it's good!
Had my restful day apart from a little shopping. Coughing is slowly going, not talking has helped. Tomorrow I need to wash my window sills down, just noticed the accumulation of dust and stuff. They are pretty wide as the walls are very thick so are more window shelves. So it's hot water for me tomorrow.0 -
evening,
Been very mixed here today, dark and cloudy all morning, torrential rain at lunchtime, bright sun this afternoon, now light and chilly this evening. Am resisting putting the heating on, I have put another jumper on instead, kids are impressed as they know how I feel the cold and often complain how warm the house is, while walking round in t shirts! I have made some cakes and pizza for dinner so that warmed me up too. DW is now on, WM has been on this morning, washing was on airer in the hall, but as the sun came out I stood it on the decking. I bought some bits for the garden yesterday in P0undland, I have got some perennials, as while I like growing seeds and seeing flowers in summer months, its getting expensive and I need something a bit more low maintenance. As well as plants I also got some other bits, I am not sure how good they will be but for a pound if they last this summer I will be happy. Havent left the house today, so NSD for me. Its been a nice day, with both kids larking around, they are close and funny when they are together, we were reminiscing about when they were little, this was mostly because my sister had a baby yesterday, she now has a girl and a boy, they were much longed for and a long time coming, my 2 are delighted at having cousins and cant wait to see them in a few weeks.
Elona I think you are being so brave and from little I have read are doing so well keeping going.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.
