Morning :hello:
Mrs LW I know it's still early days but that's good news
LameWolf Thanks, when I saw your post I went in search of the DC25. Lots of results on google but when I clicked the links, it brought up shops with a few other models but not the one I want. There are a few second hand ones but I don't trust themThe reviews are good for the DC40 so I'll go for that if I can't find the 25. My hair is long too, so good to know about the roller – hopefully it's the same for the 40. Scampi loves being brushed, but we have to do it straight after a walk when he's a bit worn out – any other time and he thinks the brush is a chewy toy, then misses the brush and grabs your hand

Yesterday afternoon was fuelled by coffee and chocolateI was willing 6pm to arrive so mr tru could take over, but forgot he was going out
I need to pop out for a few bits, getting in and out of the car should be OK today. Nothing else is planned, it's windy and overcast so I might do some weeding if the rain holds off. Scampi is outside at the mo, zooming up and down, round and round and round

Good Morning everyone, grey here too but not raining yet. He Who Knows and that Dockling out for walkies and I'm cooking for the weekend when the family come to visit. Docky hadn't knocked his nose last night so the healing continues, it might only be a temporary respite but this morning the worry levels are less than they were yesterday, grateful for that I am too!!
Hope tomorrow is dry so we can go out for the day we're thinking of visiting a garden that specialises in rhododendrons and azaeleas which is in full bloom at the moment, lots of running space for Zebra too and a cafe so we can pick up a light lunch.
Have yourselves a lovely day everyone and JACKIE O good luck for today and wishing many frilly pretty undies in the future, Lyn xxx.
That hound managed to damage his open wound and completely take the top off while he was out today....but, it didn't bleed at all and it looks as though there is some new skin forming at the edges, it's looking like a healing site now and not raw so I have a tiny hope that we may not be at the end just yet. It might be a false hope, time will tell but there is just a small glimmer of hopefullness in my heart now that wasn't there before, Phew!!!!!0 -
Morning all,
raining cats and dogs here. Looks like drying the clothes in the dryer again. With hindsight I should have washed the clothes as soon as my Grandson went home last night cause they would have been almost dry by the time it started to get dark but I was waiting for Youngests work clothes so I would have had a full load. I like to take advantage of my washers' 9kg wash load facility. As it is, ive now got a full load that I need to tumble dry.
Hubbys accountant popped round last night with a load of hubbys paperwork that he's finished with. Seems like hubby will have a sizeable sum of tax back this year again. Not enough as he was hoping to finish paying his car loan off as he's done in the past but enough to put a huge dent in whats left of it.
Nothing else to report... just a load of housework.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Looks as if it has been raining and very grey sky.
Having a lazy morning and going to make myself some tea and toast.
Need to unload dishwasher and tidy kitchen. The garden was weeded, tidied up and grass cut yesterday and it was good to see it looking more the way DH would have wanted it.
Found a healthy YS veggie curry yesterday and will have that for lunch and then defrost sea bass for tonight with a cous cous and veg side.
Crossing fingers and toes for JackieO.

Very chuffed with myself as I thought I was going to have to go out in the rain to renew my library books but managed to do that online instead.
Managed to go the other side of town yesterday to post some official forms and make sure they were sent securely (I hope). Also returned a parcel for DD.

Morning, (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Chucking it down here, very grey sky, still it will make getting the plants out a lot easier. Hope for some dry weather over the weekend.
Have another estimator coming later this morning, and then 6 viewings this afternoon. The dyson has been in evidence this morning.
Still arguing with myself weather to buy a cooker, I just cannot afford the one I really want unless some ancient relative falls off their perch and leaves me some dosh. (not really likely, they are all dead anyway!!):rotfl:
We have had one quote back which was under what I budgeted, so waiting to see if anyone can undercut them, I doubt it as they supply packing materials, with all the others I think you have to buy the packing stuff from them. Also they said they would come on Sunday and do a part pack.0 -
Hello all,
Have had really heavy rain this morning. We had to pop into town to the Building Society and I made an appointment for an eye test. I know the catarract is worse on my right eye, and when I had retinal screening in December he told me I had one coming on my left eye, Oh joy of joys, the price of becoming old
I hope Jackie's op is over and done with, it isn't very good when you have to wait until the afternoon, but obviously someone has to.
Lyn have a lovely weekend with the Zebra child and DD and SIL, I am sure there will be much laughter in your home this weekend, despite the sadness and worry you are experiencing at the moment.
Csarina I am excited for you moving to the bungalow. Can we please see photos once you are settled, either on here or your blog. You understand I am interested, not noseyIt looks as though it will be perfect for you, and hopefully your forever home.
Elona, you amaze me, you clearly are trying to keep yourself busy, and of course I know there must be very lonely and emotional times as well, how lovely of your DD to send flowers on your wedding anniversary. Be kind to yourself.
Have a good weekend all

Hi Guys,
Been to the chiropodist this morning. I had a verucca which was in the ball of my foot, hurt to walk. He did a great job, it feels fab now!:T He also cut my toenails, which I find hard these days.
Had a fall yesterday. One minute I was walking down my stairs from my house, next I was on the floor. Don't know why. Usually when I fall it's a water infection, but not this time. My sister thinks I have been doing too much organising daddy's funeral, etc. Anyway, grazed my knee and knuckles and sprained my ankle. Thought I'd broken it at first:o
Not hobbling so badly this morning.
DD back from holiday tomorrow. She's only been gone a week, but it seems like forever:rotfl:Going to have to do her washing for her, as her machine packed up on the day they went away:mad:
Love and luck to JackieO, hope it all goes okay.
Have a good day all.xI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon all,
JackieO - Thinking of you
Hilstep - Rest up and take care.
Managed to get a line of washing dry before the rain came. Also did the ironing. Took DH and DS2's suits, along with my jacket to the Dry Cleaners. My dress was dry clean only too but I have one of those 'dry clean at home' kits so cleaned it that way. Luckily it wasn't really dirty. The jacket I had to send to the cleaners as it had a couple of dirty marks on it. Thinking of washing the bottom of DD's dress in the bath over the weekend. I'm even thinking maybe I'll stick it in a duvet cover and put it on a cold wash in the machine. I'm a bit worried as the top is bead encrusted...

New guest Alfie arrived teatime yesterday; he's here for nine days. He usually goes to another lady, but she's got a family crisis at present, and had to reluctantly say she couldn't have him this time.
He's settled in fine; we didn't hear a peep out of him last night, and he walks nicely with the mobility buggy. He's not as big as Dylan, the greyhound/lurcher we used to have regularly, so he fits into the bungalow ok.:D I've found a tennis ball he can borrow for his stay, as he didn't bring any toys with him, and he likes a game of ball in the garden.:o This brings the total of different dogs I've looked after to 48. Mr LW says we'll have champagne when we get to 50.:rotfl:
 Though technically you could call it 50 now, as I had a couple of Cairn Terriers here for a couple of hours to help the franchisee out, which didn't count as a booking as they weren't here overnight. It was simply he'd had to rush over and collect them in the morning (crisis had occurred which I won't go into here) and it was either cart them round in his car all day while he did other pick-ups and deliveries til he could return them to their owner in the afternoon, or rely on one of his hosts to be kind enough to mind them for a few hours unpaid.:o Of course I said they could come here.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
