New Computer on a Budget (£500)

Hi,

I am looking for a new PC (Base Unit and Monitor) and am working with a budget of £500 (including delivery).

I have looked on Dell but don't think they offer the best value for money (the one I saw for £479 can be seen here), the key things I am looking for are:
  • Decent (ish) processor - at least Dual Core AMD or Intel
  • 2gb Ram
  • Hard Drive - 100gb min
  • Half decent graphics card (something that can handle picture and maybe recent-ish games)
  • Monitor
  • Vista
  • DVD Re-Writer
Cheers

James

I know you said they're not you're favourite, but I bought a dell E520 for £430 (list price £480) at Christmas. I cut £100 out by turning off maintenance options, had some 10% off code and also Quidco cashback.
The computer itself seems fine to me.
    Happy chappy

That dell seems to meet your requirements and in some spec is even higher:confused:

I suppose, but I just wondered if there were any better deals out there, plus I have heard bad things about their customer service.

Not that I've ever had any experience of them but IT friends/colleagues have told me to avoid like the plague! We just bought a great PC for just over £500, although we did customize it to go over that - we got it from Eclipse after reading about them in one of the computer mags. Their website is http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/
