Hi,
I am looking for a new PC (Base Unit and Monitor) and am working with a budget of £500 (including delivery).
I have looked on Dell but don't think they offer the best value for money (the one I saw for £479 can be seen here), the key things I am looking for are:

I have looked on Dell but don't think they offer the best value for money (the one I saw for £479 can be seen here), the key things I am looking for are:
- Decent (ish) processor - at least Dual Core AMD or Intel
- 2gb Ram
- Hard Drive - 100gb min
- Half decent graphics card (something that can handle picture and maybe recent-ish games)
- Monitor
- Vista
- DVD Re-Writer

I know you said they're not you're favourite, but I bought a dell E520 for £430 (list price £480) at Christmas. I cut £100 out by turning off maintenance options, had some 10% off code and also Quidco cashback.
The computer itself seems fine to me.Happy chappy0 -

That dell seems to meet your requirements and in some spec is even higher

I suppose, but I just wondered if there were any better deals out there, plus I have heard bad things about their customer service.0 -
Not that I've ever had any experience of them but IT friends/colleagues have told me to avoid like the plague! We just bought a great PC for just over £500, although we did customize it to go over that - we got it from Eclipse after reading about them in one of the computer mags.
