I had a no fault claim, in fact I was 10 miles away from my car but a neighbours car rolled in to mine. Insurance still £30 a year more now, nearly 3 years on.0

I know this doesn't protect the back of the car but I bought a dash cam a few weeks ago and run around with that now.0

I would suggest (though it's after the fact now and useless advice for this particular incident) to always take your own photos if you've a phone with a camera.0

In future, might I suggest that in order to avoid such idiots, park in the quietest area of the car park, EVEN if that means walking an extra 20 seconds.
I went shopping on Wednesday to the local Morrisons, the car park was half empty, most cars parked near the entrance, I counted 3 cars parked in areas that weren't actually parking spaces JUST to be 2 meters closer to the store.
Park with the idiots and you'll eventually get burned... Plus did I mention they're idiots? Of course they're going to drive off or deny everything if they hit your car.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I always park well away from other cars, so I can actually open the doors, then when I come back to the car 50% of the time there is another car about 2" from the side of mine, and the carpark is still nearly empty
I think some people feel lonely & exposed if their car isn't right next to another one.;)I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Or they can't park without another car to use as a guide.
Or they see your car on it's own and park next to it just to p!ss you off.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I had a no fault claim a few years back, it did not affect my NCB (I did not have NCB protected at that time as it was my first year driving), I still got my NCB for that year. My premium was not affected, I got it cheaper the following year (Maybe each insurance company has their own pricing strategy.). As far as my understanding is if your insurer can claim all the expenses from the third party, your premium or NCB will not be affected but you still need to declare it for the next few years.
Someone's rear hit the rear of my car in a car park while I was stationery last month (the first week I change my car :-( It was lucky no one hurt as slow speed. But everyone just drove away for not being witness. In order to prevent similar situation from happening, I installed a dashcam. If it comes to the worst, at least I still have a video as "witness".0 -

That is what I think
A few seconds of their time causes a little tiny bit of misery that clouds my whole day
(But then I get accused of paranaoia)
